Brenna Salay Helps Handicap Kids Learn

Brenna Moriarty Salay is a mother of two who has been helping children with disabilities learn to read. She has been doing this for the past three years and she is now a teacher at the school.

Brenna Salay has helped many children with disabilities learn how to read, but her most recent project is helping a child named Johnathon who has autism. Brenna met Johnathon when he was six years old and he had never learned how to read before meeting her. He had trouble communicating with others, but Brenna helped him by using different methods such as using pictures or playing games that would help him learn how to read better.

Brenna herself has a son named Jack Saray who was struggling with childhood cancer. He became cancer-free in 2017, after receiving a lot of public support.

It just makes my heart melt. And then when I leave, that love is with me for the rest of the day,” she said. Brenna knew that Johnathon, her student, was intelligent and would be able to learn how to read on his own if she could help it.

Brenna Salay’s Teaching Strategies

Brenna Salay used unique methods to help handicap children read and learn. Her methods are not just limited to classroom instruction but also include hands-on activities that allow students to learn through their senses and explore their creativity.

She believes that it’s important to teach kids how to think critically and creatively so they can be prepared for any future challenges they might face in life.

Salay does not believe in memorizing facts and emphasizes creative thinking and problem solving skills. These methods have allowed her to teach students from low socioeconomic levels at the same level as their peers who are from higher socioeconomic levels.

Her style of teaching is often beneficial as it allows students to learn without feeling overwhelmed by a large amount of information. In addition, Salay encourages active learning, which allows students to explore their own creativity while being able to take in what Salay teaches them.
