August 26, 2020 – He was discovered on Myspace way back in 2009 by none other than Lady Starlight, the best friend of Lady Gaga. Boston-based celebrity fashion designer Steves Peeps has astonished everyone with his nostalgia inspired sense of fashion, and the latest from his creative stable is a collection inspired by the iconic 2000s – yes, the pop-punk looks will soon be seen again on the streets!
Steves Peeps is hard to imitate, and knows how to make heads turn. His pop-punk collection isn’t a revival of the 80s, 90s or the early 2000s looks, but carries a new spin. There is a lot of influence from the skateboarding culture of New York and even music videos. A typical pop-punk look features plaid button up shirts in neutral colors.
It was somewhere around 2013 that Steves began to like wearing the 90s style, much earlier than its rise to fame later on. Today, Steves is popular as a specialist in early 2000s fashion, having caught the attention of mainstream brands after being known as an underground sensation.
The influence of Steves can be felt in the fashion world, as he has quietly altered the game with his throwback, retro styles and prints, and bringing back nostalgia like no other personality or icon has accomplished. His influence can be felt on many celebrities and in the modeling world today, not just in the US but across continents.
Apart from fashion, Steves has gained attention for another creative venture – mood boards. Many of these creations have been featured in mainstream publications.
