BALYO Autonomous Robots Navigate in Warehouses Demonstrated in Video

BALYO, a leader in innovative robotic solutions for material handling, released a new video highlighting the benefits of autonomous robots in the warehouse. Watch the video here.

Traditional AGVs’ navigational systems require additional infrastructure like laser reflectors, magnets, and wires on the ground. This means additional infrastructure and rigid operations; both can be avoided. With BALYO, the facility’s map is stored in the robots control unit. A laser is used the map the facility by driving the truck throughout the site. The map is then edited by a BALYO engineer to remove what is not permanent and keep structural items. The robot compares its real-time position with the reference map and navigates with accuracy.

With increasing demands on operations managers, such as improving working conditions, quality, safety, increasing competition, traceability of raw materials, streamlining logistics flow, reliability of deliveries, and decreasing accidents, autonomous robots in the warehouse is making more sense.

BALYO AGVs are tested and vetted both on the distribution and manufacturing plant floors. Because they are an automated extension of familiar fork trucks the buy-in and adoption is fairly easy.

About BALYO:

BALYO is the leader in the design and development of innovative robotic solutions for material handling trucks. The company’s enhanced technological platform reduces sales cycles and benefit from the ramp-up of direct sales in the U.S.

BALYO transforms standard forklift trucks into standalone intelligent robots thanks to its breakthrough proprietary Driven by Balyo™ technology. The geoguidance navigation system developed by BALYO allows vehicles equipped with the system to locate their position in real-time and navigate autonomously inside buildings/warehouses. Within the automated handling vehicle market, the profitability of purchasing is unmatched.
