Foremost award-winning American Dj, singer and songwriter, Marlo Bloxson, known by “Marlo Da Martian” or simply “Lo,” has released a new single titled “Pop Shake Twerk” ft: BoogSoWave & DJDuel.
The track, a bouncy, upbeat rap song, comes with a crisp music video with colorful visuals which complement the song’s lyrics.
Marlo has always had an innate proclivity to music since childhood. An iconic moment in his childhood days shaped his love for music. Going down Memory Lane, Marlo recalls: “I remember being at a competition held by Fisher-Price. Although I didn’t win the competition, my rendition of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me” earned me my first taste of recognition and praise from both the judges and the audience. There and then, I fell in love with that moment and instantly became addicted to music”.
Tapping into the force of nature and nature helped Marlo become what he is today in music. His family are music lovers who created an enabling environment for him to flourish. Growing up listening to Al Green, The Isley Brothers, and James Brown playing from his Dad’s old record player, Marlo began his career as a singer and songwriter. His soulful beginnings transcended to R&B with the influence of Prince, Boyz II Men, and Stevie Wonder.
