On Trustpilot, read September 10, 2026, Avis held 1.3 out of 5 from 5,180 reviews, with 90 percent at one star and 5 percent at five. Trustpilot marks the page an unclaimed profile and adds that the company has not invited its customers, so the reviews may not be representative. Critical reviewers name the same themes: charges raised after the car went back, disputed fuel and cleaning lines, coverage added at the desk, a reserved class not available on arrival, and long waits at busy airports.
