New Orleans, LA, USA – January 15, 2021 – Author L. Lane grew up in a small town in the mountains. There wasn’t a lot to do, so she lost herself in books. Lane says, “I read everything I could find, exhausting the library’s resources, and continuously requested that they order more books from bigger libraries. I even remember hiding a fiction book behind my math book so that I could continue to read what I wanted while I was in school.” Her early love for books led to the path of penning the “Draculisti” book series. To date, Lane has authored two books in the series. The first book, Dracula: Son of the Dragon, was greeted with rave reviews. “I love the series,” says Dr. Melissa Caudle, CEO with Absolute Author Publishing House. “I was really excited to learn that Lane had already developed book two.” Dracula: Rise of the Dragon is the second book in the series. Both books are available in eBook and paperback from Amazon.

When asked why Lane wrote the series, she says,I have always been extremely interested in the dichotomy of Vlad’s reputation; I thought it intriguing that to one person, he is a hero, and to the next, a monster. This interest led me to explore his life further, and the more I learned about him, the more interested I became. His tale is truly epic, and both the things that he lived through and the achievements he accomplished are fascinating.”

ABOUT THE SERIES

This first book, Dracula: Son of the Dragon, is about Vlad Dracula, also known as Vlad the Impaler, one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker’s famous vampire Dracula. But it is also an in-depth study into the psychology of human development, an exploration into what kind of path might take a person from an innocent child to becoming the infamous Vlad the Impaler. He led a fascinating life. This book follows his historical records as closely as possible while also exploring what other unrecorded events might have befallen him to shape him into the person he ultimately became.

The second book, Dracula: Rise of the Dragon, begins the second part of the tale of the real Dracula, man of legend, monster, and hero, savior, and bringer of death. This is not the mythical Dracula from vampire stories but the real man himself, a 15th-century prince, said to be responsible for both saving and murdering hundreds of thousands of people. Was he insane? Was he a murderer? Or was he a hero who did what he must for his people? Told through his own words, read his tale for yourself, and find out.
