SYDNEY, Australia – Lloyd Edge, founder of Aus Property Professionals, has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards, marking his second consecutive year receiving this recognition after winning REINSW Buyers’ Agent of the Year in 2024.
The announcement comes as Property Investment Professionals of Australia reports that 40 percent of Australian property buyers now consider using buyers’ agents, up from 10 percent a decade ago. The shift reflects growing demand for independent property investment guidance.
Edge, 45, built a property portfolio worth more than $30 million over 20 years after starting with $30,000 in savings. He founded Aus Property Professionals in 2011 to provide fee-for-service buyers’ agency representation without vendor commissions.
“We’re seeing that traditional approaches aren’t working for most investors,” Edge said. “The market needs transparency and strategic planning, not just transaction facilitation.”
Australian Taxation Office data shows that 71 percent of property investors in Australia own just one investment property. Edge attributes this pattern to poor initial purchases that prevent portfolio growth.
The Sydney-based company operates offices across multiple Australian states and specializes in helping clients build multi-property portfolios through what Edge calls strategic serviceability preservation. The approach focuses on maintaining borrowing capacity across purchases rather than optimizing individual transactions.
Edge began his career as a music teacher before transitioning to property investment. He has authored two books on property investment, “Positively Geared” and “Buy Now,” and hosts a podcast ranked in the top 5 percent globally on Apple Podcasts.
The CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards recognize business leaders across various industries for their contributions to Australian commerce. Winners will be announced in December.
Aus Property Professionals was founded in 2011 and employs a transparent fee-for-service model where clients pay directly for representation. The company has helped clients build property portfolios across major Australian capital cities.
