Australian charity selling “VIRTUAL” Bricks

Time is running out to secure a Virtual Brick and have your name recognised within an Australian-first facility helping patients and families facing a health crisis.

Leading Sunshine Coast charity Wishlist is appealing to people to Donate a Virtual Brick before the financial year ends to be part of Wishlist Centre’s legacy – an Australian-first facility offering affordable patient accommodation, primary healthcare and complementary therapies under one roof.

The four-storey building is currently under construction opposite the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and expects to open to guests in November.

Wishlist Fundraising and Partnerships Manager Lisa Wilson said June 30 heralds the community’s last chance to become part of the Wishlist Centre legacy byDonating a Virtual Brick.

“Wishlist Centre will offer solace to patients and families facing a health crisis and provide the ‘wrap-around’ services we know are desperately needed for those undergoing medical treatment, their carers and loved ones,” Ms Wilson says.

“Every person who donates a Virtual Brick by June 30 will have their name displayed within our Australian-first centre on a special Honour Wall, and most importantly, every donation is supporting families facing their darkest days.

“No matter where you live in Australia – you’ll know your name will be recognised in our building.”

Ms Wilson said community members, families and businesses can also have one of 18 accommodation rooms named after them for 1250 virtual bricks ($25,000).

“In November we will be holding a community day so all those who have donated a Virtual Brick can see their name etched into the history of this new facility to benefit locals, rural and remote patients and families.”

Wishlist Centre will be Australia’s first facility to offer affordable patient accommodation, primary healthcare and complementary therapies under one roof.
