Attorney Asa Pitt Addresses Creative Rights Agreements and the Impact of Divorce for Hollywood Insiders

On April 27 at 7PM, Attorney Asa Pitt will discuss Creative Rights Agreements and the Impact of Divorce for Entertainment Industry Insiders in an event moderated by writer/producer Nancy Fulton. For full details, and to attend the event, visit NancyFultonMeetups.com.

In speaking about the workshop, Nancy Fulton said, “Many up-and-coming writers and producers collaborate with peers without understanding why creative rights agreements are necessary. Besides the importance of creative rights agreements under normal circumstances, when a creator’s partner divorces, or dies, suddenly the high-value intellectual property they thought they owned is compromised. They have new people involved in every decision about the work. Asa’s focus is always on helping creatives protect themselves and the work they create.”

In this workshop, Asa will be addressing the ownership of screenplays, films, videos, designs and other intellectual property and how those rights can be impacted by a lack of rights agreement(s) and divorce. This is a critical workshop for anyone considering working creatively with a creative partner. This workshop is especially critical if you are married.

Asa Pitt is CEO and Founder of the Pitt APC law firm. Pitt APC is an entertainment law firm that makes deals with some of the biggest groups in entertainment, including the likes of Amazon and CAA. In addition to his entertainment clientele, Asa is constantly mediating divorce settlement agreements where he functions as a neutral third party, guiding negotiations between spouses towards an amicable divorce settlement.
