Murphy noted, “As we are on the market talking with customers, we see two different and distinct assessments of the value of visual configurations. One coming from the sales team, and the other coming from the engineering and manufacturing side.”

Townsend shared, “The visual sales process is really revolutionary in that it helps the engineers more than you think. The engineers really struggle today with gathering information from customers, gathering information from clients, and supporting sales. With the visual process, the engineers have all that information captured during sales engagement directly from the customer; then the benefit is the visual lends the engineers to that exact replication of what the customer is intending so that what sales has promised aligns with what the product is going to be delivered. So, what you see is what you get.  That what we really strive here.”

Industry 4.0 continues to be recognized as the next industrial revolution and explanation for the massive digital transformation of manufacturing and factory environments. To date, this movement has largely focused on the automation of shop floor systems and support applications of additive manufacturing, 3D printing, and sensor analytics.
