Cooper suggests any company should work with a consultant because understanding what is best for the company is critical. CRM and CPQ often complement each other. Cooper explained, “We hear customers all the time ask how can your CPQ help with our sales tracking, sales activity, and with the reporting. When it comes to the specific sales process metrics, we point them back to a CRM. When it comes to CPQ technology, you want to use the best-of-breed application to fit your best-of-breed ecosystem when it comes to sales enablement tools: CRM. When it comes to CPQ, you want to leverage a configure price tool that was designed for sales, customer service, and account managers to quote the end-user.”
