Art Shotwell New Book Intertwines on Testimony, Scripture and The Nature of God

Newport News, Virginia – December 18, 2018 – Author Art Shotwell is thrilled to announce the launch of his book “Truth from the Earth: End-Time Prophecies — Fulfilled and Soon to Be Fulfilled.” The book intertwines personal testimony, scripture and the nature of God. The book is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Shotwell wrote this book from inspiration while he was simultaneously reading Jewish history and a Commentary on Habakkuk from the Dead Sea Scrolls when he realized he was reading the same events in each study. Prophecies about things that would come to pass in the last generation had been fulfilled. In this book, three chapters are devoted to this comparison. Another chapter describes from scripture the nature of God. Anything claiming to be God’s word must be true and consistent with God’s nature.

Art Shotwell, the book author was quoted as saying, “If we’re sure our directions come from the Lord, we don’t try to put conditions on our obedience, but try to do what we’re told, confident that he controls the result. In a meeting for all chaplains who serve at Riverside Rehabilitation Institute, we were given this valuable advice: ‘When God pushes you to the edge of difficulty, trust him fully because two things can happen-either he’ll catch you when you fall, or he will teach you how to fly.’ It is appropriate that I provide information to show how I concluded that I was called to this task.”

‘Truth from the Earth: End-Time Prophecies — Fulfilled and Soon to Be Fulfilled’ reiterates God’s grace and how it fits into God’s plan of salvation. It also answers the questions about little children who die before accepting Jesus and clarifies what qualifies as “the unpardonable sin.”

The book is a must read for everyone as it also identifies end-time prophecies which must be fulfilled shortly before Christ’s return. Finally, the book clarifies topics inadequately addressed in the Bible and describes future events not generally known which must precede Christ’s return.

About Art Shotwell

The author is a brother, son, and grandson of ministers. He was first ordained in 1966. He studied the Bible as a student at Graceland College (now Graceland University) and has continued to study the scriptures throughout his life. Most recently, he was guest chaplain at Riverside Rehabilitation Institute from 2002 through 2017 where he led nondenominational worship services for patients, staff, and visitors. A frequently recurring theme has been the need for unity among people of different religious faiths from the prayer of Jesus recorded in John 17.

Personal/favorite quote:And great tribulations shall be among the children of men, but my people will I preserve, and righteousness will I send down out of heaven, and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men. And righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare…”
