Andromedia Distribution Relaunches The Drive-In B Movie Tradition with “Sorority Shark Attack”

Toronto, Ontario – November 24th, 2025 – Andromedia Distribution is proud to announce the upcoming release of “Sorority Shark Attack,” a film that pays homage to the classic Drive-in genre and the tradition of pure cinematic fun pioneered by Samuel Arkoff, Roger Corman, and Hammer Films. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in early May.

In a cinematic landscape often dominated by big-budget blockbusters and serious dramas, Andromedia aims to reignite the spirit of genre cinema, offering audiences an escape and a thrilling moviegoing experience. “We owe a cinematic debt to those who once engaged audiences in pure cinematic fun,” says Bill Dever, founder of Andromedia. “What we want to do is give audiences escape and an overall great time.”

“Sorority Shark Attack” plunges viewers into a thrilling narrative set against the backdrop of an Ontario waterway. The story follows three sorority sisters who venture to a lakeside cabin, only to discover that unsettling ripples, a gruesome death, and a lurking fin reveal a bull shark prowling beneath the surface. As a principled police constable clashes with a grandstanding mayor over closing the lake, Chloe, one of the sisters, uncovers a notebook that links the predator to covert experiments.

The film boasts a talented cast, including Kate Mayhew, Sarah Ircanca, Elle Rose, Marc Rico Ludwig, Paul Matte, Lee Poichuk, and Martin Egas. Adding to the film’s pedigree is Robert Carradine, who takes on the role of Professor Marvin.

“Sorority Shark Attack” is more than just a creature feature; it’s a thoughtful nod to the history of genre cinema and a celebration of Canadian filmmaking. Andromedia hopes to bring back the sense of community and excitement that once defined the drive-in movie experience.

At one time, this country had more than 4,000 drive-in movie theaters. Now the number hovers around 350.
