AggreBind CEO, Robert D. Friedman was an SME Speaker and Panelist at the IRF Global R2T Conference, Addressing Global Challenges Related to Road Construction

At the IRF Global R2T Conference, held in Washington DC from November 1-4, 2022 at the Mayflower Hotel, Robert D. Friedman delivered two presentations about defining and identifying global challenges to building roads and road construction

Known for hosting the most innovative and advanced roads and transportation authorities, the IRF Global R2T Conference is quickly becoming a top destination for global innovators and decision-makers in the roads and mobility sector. Participants use this opportunity to share best practices about the latest technologies and solutions with each other. Researchers present their research with their peers, as well as the industry as a whole. Private sector companies use this event to make new business connections, showcase new innovations and services, as well as learn from other professionals within the industry. Everyone involved with roads and mobility—whether they are researchers, private companies or government officials—seeks this event because they know it will provide them with expert knowledge on the newest technologies being used in their industry.

At this year’s IRF Global R2T Conference, President and CEO of AggreBind Robert D. Friedman was among speakers and panelists. Robert talked about Greening/Climate Friendly Road & Transport Infrastructure as a panelist and delivered a presentation on Road Construction Using Local Available Materials and Mitigation of Fugitive Dust. His two presentations focused on addressing the global challenges that are associated with road constructions and building roads which includes soil complexities, global shortage of sand, environmental pressures brought to bear on the quarrying of aggregate, and lack of roads impeding local and regional economic development.

Robert highlighted solutions to each of these challenges with real-world applications. AggreBind is the only long-string cross linking styrene acrylic polymer either on the market or in the industry. It is a revolutionary product, developed and deployed more than a decade, that encapsulates soil particulates ‘cohesive or non-cohesive’ and increases their load bearing strength by 400-600%. This allows AggreBind to take a class 4 soil and make it a class 5 soil, eliminating the need to import aggregate.

AggreBind is a proprietary and proven environmentally friendly solution for constructing rural and urban roads. AggreBind’s unique binding properties have been specified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to seal acid-producing rock. When installed properly, AggreBind will give road construction workers and companies a solid, water-resistant road base that costs less, uses less energy, is environmentally friendly and reduces labor costs of implementation. On average, this is a 40-60% overall cost saving.
