The Afrolicious Hair & Beauty Expo is going on a 6 city Tour for 2019. RastAfri will be the presenting sponsor for the tour. Bronner Brothers and Upscale is one of the advertising sponsors. The Afrolicious Tour will start on April 28th in Oakland, CA. Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles are next 5 stops. The Afrolicious Expo educates, demonstrates and celebrates natural hair and beauty.
The theme this year is Afros at the Masquerade. There will be lots of hair demonstrations from local hairstylist, an Afrocentric fashion show, a Hair Paint Bar, a Little Miss Afrolicious Pageant for girls 5 to 12 and a $1500 hairstylist competition, sponsored by RastAfri/Kanekalon. Bronner Brothers and Eden Bodyworks will be providing their sample products for gift bags. The first 100 ladies to arrive with tickets get a full size product gift bag.
After 5 successful shows in Los Angeles, the founder (Rwanda Ray) decided to do a tour with the show. It was a great success with natural hair women in different cities coming together. Not only to celebrate their beauty but share different hair and beauty techniques. This year there will be a Soul Train Line dance contest. Afrolicious Hair Care will also be available at all the show in every city.
Their mission of celebrating Black Hair & Beauty through education and positive imagery remain strong and they are proud to continue as they travel from city to city showing the world the beauty of Natural Hair and “Black Girl Magic”.
The founder stated that she looks forward to continuing great relationships with sponsors, hairstylist, designers, vendors, guest and the press. With only 2 week until showtime, their staff has kicked into full gear and it remains clear that natural hair is not just a fad or hairstyle but a lifestyle here to stay.
