Based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, ACHI Women Supporting Women Association, Inc is a not-for-profit organization comprising accomplished women, who are dedicated to empowering the next generation of women through educational programs, mentorships and so much more.
As part of its programs to empower women, an annual national conference has been set up. This conference which is to be presented by members of ACHI WSWA, aims at improving the lives of women by bringing together members of ACHI WSWA and the public. The theme for this year’s maiden edition of the conference is titled: “Love Yourself” and aims at focusing on the nurturing nature of women on self care. The conference is tailored specially for women and promises a whole lot of exciting events ranging from a health fair to expert-led workshops and so much more. This year’s conference is slated to hold on May 19th and 20th, 2017.
To kick off this year’s conference, a series of mini-events have been lined up including a fashion show titled “Fashion for the gods”; which is being sponsored by ACHI Magazine and ACHI TV, this fashion show will feature Greek-inspired designs by notable designers across the country and promises to be a night of exquisite fashion. Guests are invited to come, view and enjoy spectacular designs which have been created as “an offering to the gods”. The venue for the show is the 25th floor of the Sky EAST Penthouse which provides a panoramic view of the city of Atlanta.
An “All White” Greek-themed Gala is also part of the series that features an evening of dance and musical performances amongst other activities. For the Gala, the organizers have promised an evening of pure elegance and sophistication, all with the purpose of raising awareness and funds for the organization.
Another highlight of this year’s conference is the “meet and greet” gourmet lunch session with Dr. Jackie – the breakout star of Bravo’s “Married to Medicine”. During the lunch session, Dr. Jackie will be discussing her personal story of her battle with cancer and how she survived it on two occasions while also giving tips on how women can survive or altogether avoid cancer and other diseases. She will also be talking about her life’s mission. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions through a special Question and Answer session; special seating, wine and photos with Dr. Jackie will also be available for VIP guests.
