Carson, California — January 18, 2016 — iUrban Teen will be hosting the iUrban Teen STEM Summit in partnership with TRIO Cal State University – Dominguez Hills on January 21st from 9:30 am to 3 pm PST. The event is designed with the male youth of color, ages 13 – 18 in mind, however, all youth interested in becoming leaders in STEM + Arts are welcome to attend. Preference will be made toward youth on free or reduced lunch programs
The STEM Summit will allow youth to participate in hands-on, interactive workshops and thought-provoking conversations with industry professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Youth participants will choose from two workshop tracks designed to spark their curiosity in STEM careers and topics. Parents are also encouraged to participate in the Summit’s Parent Roundtable and lend their voices to the conversation.
