Hangzhou tops Chinese cities in business environment

Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang province, has been judged to have the best business environment among Chinese cities, local media outlets reported.

The ranking was based on the responses of 69,120 questionnaires taken by private companies of all scales across the country. The survey was conducted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce from August to October.

Hangzhou once again topped the city list, with Wenzhou, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Qingdao, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Changsha and Chengdu following behind. The city has maintained the honorary title for three consecutive years.

Hangzhou was also deemed to have a good reputation among companies that have conduct businesses in the city.

In the list of domestic provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong, Beijing, Sichuan, Hunan, Henan and Fujian were deemed to have the best business environment.

Looking forward, Hangzhou will roll out plans and regulations to address the difficulties, pain points and bottlenecks reported by enterprises so as to become a world-class city with the best business environment in China.
