How Often Should Shopify Brands Refresh Their Meta Ads? Stockholm Studio Adsome Says Let Ad Spend Set the Pace

Shopify brands should refresh their Facebook and Instagram ads at a pace set by their ad spend, says Stockholm studio Adsome. The more a brand spends, the sooner the same people have seen the same ads too often, so higher budgets need new ads more often.

Stockholm, Sweden – October 19, 2026 – Shopify brands should refresh their Facebook and Instagram ads at a pace set by how much they spend. The more money goes into Meta each month, the sooner the same people have seen the same ads too often, and the sooner new ones are needed. That is the guidance from Adsome, a film and advertising studio in Stockholm that makes and runs Meta ads for e-commerce brands.

Many online stores still treat new ads as a quarterly project. A shoot is booked, a set of ads goes live, and the same set runs until sales slow down. By then the brand has usually paid for weeks of weaker results before anyone asks for new material.

Adsome’s advice for brands planning their creative work has four parts:

1. Plan new ads every month, and plan more of them when the budget goes up.

2. Make each new batch a new idea or a new angle. A new colour on an old ad teaches the brand very little.

3. Check the boring causes before blaming the ads. An ended offer, a slower checkout, a broken tracking tag or a busier auction can all look like tired creative.

4. Build the next batch from the ads that sold. Reviews, comments and search terms show which angles to try next.

The studio has published a short explainer on the question, “How often should you refresh Meta ads? New ads per month“, on YouTube.

“Most brands find out their ads are worn out from the sales report, a few weeks too late,” said Carl Ström, founder of Adsome. “If you know roughly how much you will spend next month, you can work out how many new ads you need before the old ones stop working. Then making ads becomes a monthly habit instead of an emergency.”

The same thinking sits behind Adsome’s Pay as You Scale model for Shopify brands. Adsome makes the ads, runs them and covers the production cost, and delivers a new batch every month. The brand pays Adsome 12.5 percent of the sales the ads generate, and only in months where the ads bring back at least four times the ad spend. In a month below that level, the brand pays Adsome no fee. The ad budget goes from the brand’s own card to Meta.

Adsome is also nominated at the Swedish Content Awards 2026 in the Finance & Technology category for “Mellan Generationer”, a documentary series made for the pension company Alecta. Winners are announced on 20 October 2026.
