Dr. Tyra Hodge Named Superintendent of Resilience Leadership Academy

CONROE, TEXAS – September 10, 2026 – Resilience Leadership Academy (RLA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tyra Hodge as its newly appointed Superintendent.

Dr. Hodge previously served as the Director of Social-Emotional Learning for Cleveland Independent School District, where she led initiatives focused on student well-being, mental health, behavioral support, staff development, and academic success. In that role, she collaborated with educators, families, administrators, and community partners to create supportive learning environments and expand resources for students.

Following her service with Cleveland Independent School District, Dr. Hodge joined Resilience Leadership Academy as Head of Schools. In that capacity, she provided leadership for the academy’s instructional programs, student support services, staff development, and school operations. Her work has helped advance the academy’s mission of creating a safe, nurturing, and academically excellent environment where every child is valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Dr. Hodge brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including classroom instruction, behavioral intervention, school administration, social-emotional learning, special education support, professional development, community engagement, and district-level leadership. Her career has been centered on helping students overcome barriers, recognize their strengths, and achieve their full potential.

In addition to her educational leadership, Dr. Hodge is the founder and president of Parenting Connections Non-Profit, an organization dedicated to supporting student achievement through parental involvement. She has led community events, parenting classes, support groups, educational campaigns, leadership workshops, and initiatives focused on literacy, family engagement, and dropout prevention.

Dr. Hodge holds a Ph.D. in Education from Concordia University Chicago and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Concordia University Austin. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling, a Mental Health Certificate, Superintendent Certification from Lamar University, and Texas certifications in general education, special education, and educational leadership.

As Superintendent, Dr. Hodge will continue advancing Resilience Leadership Academy’s commitment to student-centered instruction, academic excellence, resilience, personal growth, and whole-child development. She will work collaboratively with the academy community to strengthen programs, support educators, engage families, and prepare students for lifelong learning and success.
