CIPP — cured-in-place pipe — rehabilitates a failing lateral from the inside through two small access pits rather than a trench four to eight feet wide. That advantage narrows once the ground freezes, when access pit excavation and curing conditions both become harder to manage, and a planned October liner turns into an emergency winter excavation.
