BUSAN, South Korea – August 7, 2026 – COOLSMILE today launched its second-generation personal air cooler on Kickstarter.
Unlike conventional portable fans that simply circulate hot ambient air, the new COOLSMILE features a removable upper fan unit and a cooling body designed to be frozen as a wholebefore use. Once frozen, the cooling body stores cold energy and delivers colder air for longer.
Under controlled test conditions at an ambient temperature of 30°C (86°F), COOLSMILE recorded a temperature difference of up to approximately 17°C (30.6°F) between the ambient air and the air at the outlet. The outlet air also remained below the ambient temperature approximately three hours after operation began. Cooling duration was recorded at up to approximately twice that of the previous COOLSMILE model.*

“Portable fans can move air, but they cannot make hot air cold. That is why we developed the new COOLSMILE around a completely different idea: storing cold energy throughout the entire cooling body,” said Hyeonwoo shin, Sales Director at COOLSMILE.
From a Frozen Bottle to a Fully Freezable Cooling Body
The second-generation design stores cold energy throughout the entire cooling body.
The original COOLSMILE used a frozen bottle to produce cooled air. However, the most common request from users was simple: “We wish it stayed cold longer.” In response, the second-generation COOLSMILE has evolved beyond freezing only the cooling bottle. Its entire cooling body is now designed to be frozen, helping it deliver colder air for longer.
