Makkah, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said its multilingual communications campaign during the 2026 Hajj season reached global audiences in more than 80 languages, supporting over 1.7 million pilgrims throughout their journey from pre-arrival planning to their safe return home.
The ministry said it implemented an integrated communications strategy designed to provide pilgrims, partners, and international audiences with timely information on Hajj procedures, services, health guidance, and travel requirements. The campaign combined digital content, educational materials, electronic platforms, and international media outreach to reach millions of beneficiaries worldwide.
According to the ministry, communications efforts began before pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia, providing information on registration procedures, permit issuance, travel preparations, and service options. The outreach continued throughout the pilgrimage, offering guidance on movement between the holy sites, access to services, and health and safety measures, before extending to information on departure and return travel.
A central focus of the campaign was enhancing the overall pilgrim experience by ensuring that official information was accessible to diverse audiences in their native languages. The ministry said this approach helped improve awareness of available services, regulatory requirements, and public health guidance while facilitating a smoother pilgrimage journey.

The communications program also highlighted digital services introduced to support pilgrims, including the NUSUK platform, a key gateway for pilgrimage-related services and information. In addition, the ministry showcased the coordinated efforts of government agencies involved in serving pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage.
Officials said the broad communications presence helped ensure that official messages reached pilgrims and stakeholders across different regions and languages while providing international audiences with greater visibility into the operational and logistical efforts behind Hajj.
The ministry added that the initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance the experience of pilgrims and visitors through improved services, digital transformation, and greater accessibility.
Hajj is one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings, bringing together Muslims from across the globe to perform pilgrimage rites in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
