MARIETTA, GA – A new novel, “The World’s First President” by Ed San Luis, follows the journey of George Oscar Mez, a man who rises from personal tragedy to become a world leader and eventually President of the Federation of Planets.
After the murder of his wife and son, Mez uses extraordinary abilities, including telekinetic powers. His ascent takes him from the White House to leadership of a multi-planet alliance. Along the way, he encounters a parallel world called Earth II, where he finds exact look-alikes of his murdered wife and son, offering him a second chance at family.
The story spans multiple worlds as Mez confronts challenges including a global plague called Lujo, geopolitical threats, and the question of how to end slavery on Earth II without triggering an interplanetary war. His adopted son Teddy develops a relationship with Diana, a cyborg tied to advanced artificial intelligence who raises questions about love, identity, and what it means to be human.
Characters include Tars Syx, an ancient being from the planet Pisen who becomes Mez’s trusted advisor, and Desmond Brand, who works alongside Mez on key Federation efforts. The narrative moves from Hawaii to Earth II and to the planet Cleo, a world governed primarily by women.
As environmental conditions on Earth worsen, Mez must oversee the relocation of populations to new worlds. The Federation eventually establishes a new capital on Mars in an underground city named Avalon, with the long-term goal of one day returning to a restored Earth.
“The World’s First President” is now available for purchase on Amazon.
