People line up carrying empty containers—detergent bottles, glass jars, and used shampoo bottles—each reflecting everyday use. Instead of purchasing new products, they return to refill what they already have.

AROMATICA’s “Refill Day,” led by the aromatherapy-based clean vegan beauty brand, has evolved beyond a simple campaign into a meaningful practice that connects everyday habits with sustainability.

Designed to make refill culture more accessible in daily life, the initiative encourages customers to bring their own cleaned containers and refill them with AROMATICA’s best-selling products—promoting more sustainable consumption by reducing the need for new packaging.

Launched in January 2025, “Refill Day” has attracted a cumulative total of 10,000 participants, building a strong and loyal community of consumers committed to sustainable lifestyles.

One of the key reasons AROMATICA is gaining attention in the global market is that its sustainability efforts go beyond messaging and translate into measurable impact. Through its refill initiatives, the brand has reduced a cumulative total of 68 tons of plastic waste. This is equivalent to preventing approximately 2.25 million 300ml bottles from being produced offering a tangible solution to the plastic waste challenges faced by the beauty industry.

At the core of this achievement is AROMATICA’s “Bottle to Bottle” system—a circular resource model that transforms collected empty containers into high-purity recycled materials, which are then used to create new product packaging. This closed-loop system has been recognized as a leading example of sustainable packaging in the global beauty industry. Through these efforts, AROMATICA continues to strengthen its presence in global retail markets, including North America and Europe, positioning itself as a brand that represents sustainability in K-beauty.

Ahead of Earth Day on April 22, AROMATICA is once again highlighting how small, everyday actions can lead to meaningful environmental change through its refill culture. The brand conveys that a simple act—refilling and reusing cosmetic containers instead of discarding them—can serve as the starting point for resource circulation.
