Workshop 80 MT RGV for Heavy Mold Transportation

Recently, an 80 tons mobile cable powered Rail Guided Vehicle (RGV) tailored for the firing workshop of a Mold Factory has been launched. Featuring high load capacity, intelligent control, and high temperature resistance design, this RGV comprehensively solves the challenges of transporting large cement workpieces in high temperature environments.

Stability under Heavy Load

The RGV body adopts a box‑beam frame structure, with dimensions of 5000×2000×500 mm. Its curb weight and load capacity have been rigorously determined, with a rated load capacity of 80 tons, ensuring absolute stability and safety during the transport of large cement workpieces within the firing workshop. The traveling mechanism is equipped with cast steel wheels, which are wear resistant and pressure resistant, suitable for high frequency use under high temperature and heavy load conditions.

Intelligent Control and Precise Docking

Vehicle equipped with a wireless remote control coupled with a PLC programming control system, and complemented by an LED display for real‑time operational status feedback, operators can remotely and precisely control the vehicle’s start, stop, speed regulation, and positioning. The customized deck is fitted with rail docking devices, whose rail dimensions and height are perfectly aligned with the customer’s existing firing stations. This enables “one‑key” precise positioning of workpieces without the need for secondary adjustments, significantly improving operational efficiency.

Operational Safety

The RGV can withstand the high temperature environment of the firing workshop for extended periods. It comes standard with audible and visual warning lights and a laser dead man stop system, which monitors a fan‑shaped area 3‑5 meters ahead in real‑time and triggers an automatic emergency stop upon detecting obstacles. The cable power supply system, incorporating a drag chain and fixed cable clamps, effectively protects the mobile cable from abrasion, ensuring stable and reliable power delivery.

This equipment is suitable for the high temperature environment (‑20 °C to 150 °C) of mold factory firing workshops.
