Colorado continues to face a statewide shortage of psychiatric providers, especially in rural and underserved regions. In many communities, individuals wait weeks—or even months—for a mental health appointment, often traveling long distances or forgoing treatment altogether.
In response, Elevate Denver Mental Health is expanding its telepsychiatry services to reach patients across the state. With this broader access, individuals from small towns to metro areas can now connect with licensed psychiatric providers from home—without disrupting work schedules, arranging transportation, or facing long delays.
“We’re hearing from more people who are finally ready to talk, but aren’t sure where to begin,” said Dr. Daniel Tan, Medical Director at Elevate Denver Mental Health. “This is about meeting people where they are—both in terms of geography and readiness—and removing the barriers that often discourage follow-through.”
The clinic’s expanded virtual model offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Common concerns addressed include depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and substance use.
Appointments are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. The intake process is streamlined, and many new patients are scheduled within just a few days. The clinic accepts most major insurance plans.
But Elevate’s approach goes beyond convenience. The telepsychiatry model is designed to support ongoing engagement, not just one-time access. By reducing the everyday friction of scheduling, commuting, or missing work, the clinic helps patients stay connected to their providers and make progress over time.
“Access isn’t just about getting through the front door,” Dr. Tan said. “It’s also about staying engaged. When treatment fits more naturally into someone’s routine, they’re more likely to continue—and that consistency is where real change happens.”
With this expansion, Elevate Denver Mental Health now serves patients in Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Colorado Springs, and dozens of other communities that have historically had limited access to psychiatric care. The clinic’s goal is to respond more quickly than large health systems, while still maintaining a high level of clinical attention and continuity.
“In a lot of traditional settings, patients are bounced between intake teams, scheduling departments, and multiple providers,” Dr. Tan added. “The clinic uses a streamlined model designed to simplify scheduling and improve continuity of care.”
Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team that prioritizes evidence-based treatment, transparent communication, and personalized support. Telepsychiatry also allows for more flexible follow-up, helping patients adjust their treatment plans without the disruptions common in in-person-only care models.
As the need for mental health services continues to grow across Colorado, Elevate Denver Mental Health sees this expansion as part of a broader shift toward modern, patient-centered psychiatric services—delivered with consistency, clarity, and accessibility in mind.
