2. Detailed Otis Test Tool Button Function Explanation

First, let’s look at the four key buttons on the left: MODULE, FUNCTION, SET, and the blue button. The MODULE key returns to the main menu from anywhere in the service tool software; the FUNCTION key returns to the installation and OTIS test tool manual from anywhere in the system; the SET key selects items in the function menu for further selection; and the blue key, similar to the SHIFT key on a computer keyboard, toggles key functions. Pressing the blue key will cause a flashing cursor to appear at the first character position on the test tool display, indicating that the blue key function is activated. The flashing cursor will disappear after selecting the corresponding function key.

To use the Otis lift parts functions of the blue portion, first press the unmarked blue key in the lower left corner, and then press the desired function key. These keys function similarly to the SHIFT key on a computer keyboard, used for inputting or changing values, saving changes, and switching the display forward.

Regarding server usage, after inserting the server into the Otis elevator board’s interface, the ST monitor will display “SELF TEST –OKMECS-MODE”. This indicates that the server self-test has passed and the current connection is to the modular Otis elevator control system mode, which is normal. If other messages appear, it is recommended to unplug and replug the debugger for testing. If the problem persists, there may be a fault in the test tool or elevator components.
