The creative team behind the upcoming WWII feature film The Red Head proudly announces the addition of six-time Emmy® Award-winning filmmaker Bailey Wall to the production as 1st Assistant Director. With over a decade of experience in film and television, Wall brings unparalleled cinematic mastery and emotional depth in helping to tell Hannie Schaft’s true story, one of WWII’s most fearless Dutch resistance heroes.
Known for translating powerful historical and human stories into visually striking, emotionally charged cinema, Wall will play a key creative role as 1st Assistant Director on The Red Head as Pendragon Pictures prepares to enter production this late fall. His expertise in directing, producing, and crafting compelling narratives ensures the film will have the support it needs to deliver an unforgettable and impactful portrayal of bravery, sacrifice, and defiance.

Produced by Susan Goforth (Tomorrow’s Today) and executive produced by Kimberly Olson, The Red Head tells the true story of Jannetje Johanna “Jo” Schaft, better known as Hannie Schaft, the legendary Dutch resistance fighter whose fiery red hair and fearless courage earned her the nickname “the girl with the red hair.” Schaft risked everything to fight fascism, save lives, and inspire generations, making her one of WWII’s most celebrated resistance heroes.

Joining Wall on the production are standout talents including cinematographer Yah’leanah Wall, producer Andy Hundis (The Wilde Girls), and property master Jeni Manus, forming a visionary team dedicated to delivering a historically authentic and emotionally gripping cinematic experience.
Set in Nazi-occupied Netherlands in 1943, The Red Head is more than a historical war drama — it is a timeless story of resistance, courage, and defiance.
