Slkor’s SL1609 Ultra-Low-Power Hall Element: Enabling Seamless Switching with <3.3μA Current

Slkor’s SL1609 Hall Element delivers ultra-low power consumption (<3.3μA) and omnipolar detection for precise, non-contact switching. Ideal for TWS earphones, laptops, power tools, and industrial automation, it enables smarter, more efficient designs with high ESD protection and flexible magnetic thresholds.

Slkor’s technical team hails from Tsinghua University. It is a national high-tech enterprise that developed silicon carbide power devices relatively early and has grown into a company integrating R&D, design, sales, and application technical services. The corporate culture is inclusive, open, and innovative. The “SLKOR” brand has gained international recognition and reputation, with market share continuously rising. It has obtained ISO9001 system certification and RoHS, REACH, California 65, and other certifications.

Slkor has R&D institutions in Beijing and Suzhou, with a laboratory and central warehouse attached to its Shenzhen headquarters. Main products include three major series: diodes & transistors, power devices, and power management chips. The company is gradually developing new products such as Hall sensors, ADCs, BMS, high-speed optocouplers, and passive crystals. These are applied in industries like smartphones, laptops, robots, power tools, connected vehicles, 3C digital products, and the AIoT, advancing hand-in-hand with over ten thousand global partners!

The Slkor official website has been built into a platform for learning and exchange within the semiconductor industry, creating an industrial ecosystem in cyberspace to serve the company’s operations and development. The company’s vision, through thirty years of relentless effort by its colleagues, is to become the “Semiconductor Leader”!

4. Slkor Hall Sensor Application Circuit

4.1 Application Principle

Utilizing the principle of magnetic induction, when the Hall element detects a magnetic field of the correct orientation, the output changes from a high level to a low level. Hall sensors are widely used in TWS earphones, mobile phones, electronic locks, valve position detection, magnetic keyboards, pianos, flow meters, and some non-contact detection applications due to their high sensitivity.

Slkor Hall sensors SL1609, SL1603X, and SL1613X are all low-power Hall switches. Their maximum output current is 5mA, which can directly drive small signal loads like switches. In this circuit, it is directly connected to a 1K resistor and an LED. The LED turns off when a magnetic field is detected.

5. Slkor Hall Sensor DEMO Board is shown below

This DEMO board uses a double-layer PCB design. The Hall device is inserted at the interface and is primarily used to test the functionality of the Hall switch. Slkor Hall sensor applications are widely used in the market due to their low power consumption characteristics. For example:

When a laptop lid is opened, the screen automatically lights up; When a protective cover is closed, the tablet instantly goes to sleep. This is enabled by the “precise collaboration” between the Hall switch and a magnet.

In wearable devices, the Hall switch acts as a “health assistant”: smartwatches detect the magnetic state of the watch strap buckle to determine if the user is wearing it, avoiding erroneous recording of activity data. This kind of “seamless interaction” is redefining the boundaries of device intelligence.

Slkor Hall components penetrate applications from 3C to industrial uses. On 3C product production lines, Slkor Hall switches serve as the “eyes” of robotic arms: by detecting the position of magnets on end-effectors, they precisely control gripper opening and closing, achieving positioning accuracy of 0.01mm and ensuring high yield rates in chip packaging.

In conveyor belt systems, Hall counting switches can detect material passage 2000 times per second, working with PLCs to achieve automated sorting, improving efficiency by 30% compared to manual counting.

Slkor Micro Semicon provides corresponding DEMO boards to facilitate the use of new “SLKOR” brand products for end customers and distributors and to strengthen supporting technical services. More info please contact slkoric@slkormicro.com
