Dr. Corsten completed his medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin and graduated cum laude in 1990 with his doctorate of medicine. He served his surgical internship and neurosurgical residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. Corsten received board certification in neurological surgery from the American Board of Neurological Surgery and maintains professional membership with the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. In the past, he was a Clinical Professor at LSU Medical Center and was honored as Top Neurosurgeon of Baton Rouge in 2007 and Top Doc of America in 2008. Dr. Corsten feels that he owes his successful career to being on a personal mission to care for patients and also to the professors and the excellent training he received at the University of Illinois. In his spare time, he is passionate about cooking, traveling, and reading.
