The former program a financial wellness program that helps employers cut healthcare costs and increase profitability; while the latter is a financial literacy program that helps non-profits, schools, businesses, mentoring programs and other organizations put financially educated, self-sufficient members of society on the streets and into the workforce of the communities they serve.

The lack of financial literacy can have devastating effects on families, schools, business, and communities – it restricts our economic growth. Money is the one thing they don’t teach you in school.  You work hard – you collect your paycheck, for many employees, there’s not a lot of time to learn to manage that money well and they are looking to their employer for help.”

Stressing the impact of financial wellness programs, Mrs. Winston concluded by saying “Financial Wellness is quickly becoming a new class of benefits – new products, services and programs are popping up every day. Employers are looking for effective ways to incorporate them into their existing health and wellness programs, as they are quickly becoming a new way to attract and retain top talent.”
