Abstract:

In 2015, the value of industrial valve production in the U.S. amounted to $12.4B, declining by -3.8% against the previous year level. Overall, the U.S. industrial valve output pursued a pronounced growth from 2007 to 2015. The total output figures increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, when the output figure increased by +10% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the total value of industrial valve shipments in the United States peaked at $12.9B in 2014, falling back in the following year.

Gates, globes, angles, straightway (Y-type) check, stop and check, cross, 3- and 4-way, etc. accounted for the highest share (25% in 2015) of U.S. industrial valve manufacturing, leaving a considerable room for all other miscellaneous industrial valves (18%). The other related products with less notable individual shares together comprised approx. 57% of the total output.
