Dr. Stone is the President, CEO, and Founder of 3DBiopsy, Inc. and is Professor of Urology and Radiation Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. With over 30 years of experience, he specializes in prostate cancer, urology, and radiation therapy.
Educated at University of Maryland, where he finished his residency in 1979, Dr. Stone completed fellowships in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Rockefeller University. He was board certified by the American Board of Urology in 1986 and is a professional member of the American Urologic Association. He is also the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Solomon Silver Award Mount Sinai, Physician Research Training Award, and the Best Poster Award at the AUA Annual Meeting 2009. Dr. Stone has published over 400 articles and abstracts and just released his new book: The Prostate Cancer Dilemma: Selecting Patients for Active Surveillance, Focal Ablation and Definitive Therapy (Springer).
Dr. Stone attributes his success to his dedication to finding better solutions for men with prostate cancer. Dr. Stone retired from clinical practice in 2012, and spends his professional time as a patient advocate conducting research and developing new strategies to diagnose and treat prostate cancer.
