Dr. Yeguez, MD, acquired his medical degree in 1990 at Universidad Nacional Experimental Francisco de Miranda (UNEFM) in Coro, Venezuela. He then served his general surgery training at Universidad Central de Venezuela Hospital General del Oeste (HGO) in Caracas, Venezuela. Upon relocating to the United States, he underwent a Research Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery and a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, as well as a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida.

Dr. Yeguez keeps up-to-date in the new developments, guidelines, and procedures in his field through his memberships with the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons. He is board certified in colon and rectal surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Yeguez credits his success to his perseverance and consistency.
