Posh Pawn Is Now Using Technology to Detect Counterfeit Designer Handbags

Posh Pawn has acquired new technology to give their customers confidence when purchasing collectable designer handbags. The “Entrupy Device” combines high tech photography and computer algorithms to authenticate a number of different manufacturers handbags.

The handheld device takes microscopic images of various parts of the handbag. These are then uploaded to Entrupy’s computers which are able to detect the imitation designer handbags with 97% accuracy.

According to Posh Pawn’s operations manager, Paola Brewer, “The counterfeit bags are sometimes so good that even after handling thousands of bags and doing detail inspections we were having trouble spotting the imitations in what are know as Super Fakes. This device removes the doubt and more importantly is the only authentication company to offer financial compensation if proved inaccurate”.

The device is currently capable to authenticating Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry, Balenciaga, Celine, Prada,Fendi, Dior, Gucci, Goyard, and even Hermés.

According to a recent study the fake goods market has reached 460 billion dollars annually.
