Brooklyn, New York Jan. 25, 2017– New York City’s prestigious periodontal and dental implant surgeon, Dr. Bernard Fialkoff, receives highest honor as Pierre Fauchard Academy inducts him into its exclusive dental membership. Pierre Fauchard Executives Dr. Edward Feinberg and Dr. Lynne Halik presented the new members of the academy at the New York State Dental Association House of Delegates meeting in Brooklyn. She inducted Dr. Fialkoff, President of the Fialkoff Dental Study Club and Implant Certainty Training Program along with Dr. Claudia A. Mahon-Vazquez, Suffolk County Dental Society Secretary and other medical professionals from the area.
Pierre Fauchard honored Dr. Fialkoff for his humanitarian outreach in the USA and overseas. Dr. Fialkoff ran the Set a Good Example program for NYC youth from 1992-1994, and the “Healthy Smiles, Healthy Lives,” “Give Kids a Smile” and “Fall for Smiles” oral health campaigns. He directed two US-Cuba Dental Humanitarian Trips. Dr. Fialkoff has provided dental educational programming for more than two decades to thousands of dental professionals on the Eastern Seaboard as President and Founder of his study club and Implant Certainty Training program, and has sponsored more than 1200 free drug prevention events in the USA and Haiti, Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Guatemala.
Dr. Fialkoff said, “As a periodontist and dental implant surgeon, I have been able to help thousands of patients to lead more confident and healthier lives. Through this leadership role as a medical professional, I feel it is my duty to also reach out to the community and improve its downfalls through the many programs that I sponsor through my office. The mission of the Pierre Fauchard Academy is to recognize and grow leaders in the dental profession, their communities and society. The New York State Dental Association is the voice of the dental profession in New York State. Since its founding in 1868, dental professionals have relied on NYSDA to represent them in legislature, advance the profession and set the highest ethical standards for practice.
Interfaith Medical Center recently presented Dr. Fialkoff with the “Leadership in Dental Education Award” while the National Coalition of Latino Officers gave him the “Community Service Award” in June. The Fraternal Order of Police, Aesthetic Dentistry and Professional Testing Organization, and High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program each presented Dr. Fialkoff with honorary memberships for his humanitarian work.
