Williamston, Michigan – June 4, 2018 – P. I. Engineering, maker of X-keys® USB control devices announced the release of Beta software to control NDI® PTZ cameras (including PTZ Optics NDI cameras) with X-keys.
“We received a number of requests from broadcasters and live streamers looking for a way to control multiple NDI PTZ cameras. When NewTek introduced NDI PTZ commands in their NDI Tools, we saw the opportunity to fill this need,” said Dan Slider, Director of Marketing. “Both NewTek and PTZ Optics supported our efforts and provided us with cameras for testing. Now we have an app which can connect to and control up to four NDI sources with our X-keys joysticks and keys.”
This Windows-based application will be featured in the X-keys booth (N 1946) at InfoComm 2018, June 6-8 in Las Vegas. The demonstration includes NDI PTZ cameras from PTZOptics and NewTek. Any camera supporting NDI PTZ commands will, in theory, be controllable by the X-keys NDI PTZ application. P.I. Engineering is currently seeking Beta testers with other brands of NDI enabled PTZ cameras to participate in the testing.
“It’s amazing to see this app come out as the first joystick control solution for NDI,” said Matthew Davis, Product Manager for Haverford Systems. “I have not encountered a single issue in testing with our cameras. Kudos to the P. I. Engineering team.”
The Beta version of X-keys NDI PTZ application is available as a free download. Interested parties can contact P. I. Engineering via email: email@example.com or phone (517) 655-5523 Ext. 19 or inquire at the InfoComm booth.
