Medi-Max Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Produce Therapeutic Massage Pillow

Designed to reduce neck pain, stress, anxiety, and insomnia, Medi-Max therapeutic massage pillow increases relaxation through deep acupressure stimulation.

Possessing both acupressure points and magnetic points, Medi-Max is not an ordinary massage pillow.  This multi-functional pillow contains:

  • 10 different acupressure points, namely

    • B10 acu-point to reduce anxiety

    • GB21 acu-point to relax tendons

    • TW16 acu-point to relieve neck pain

    • GB20 acu-point to eliminate insomnia

    • GV16 acu-point to reduce stress

  • 10 magnetic points to increase serotonin, melatonin, and endorphins

There are four specialized areas on the Medi-Max:  acupressure area, neck support & magnetic sleeping area, head support area, and side sleep area.  All of these specialized areas are intended to assist those who have trouble falling or staying asleep.  

The invention of Medi-Max is based on the concept of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  With a 5,000 year track record, the basic principles of TCM are diagnosis and treatment.  Using the traditional therapeutic method of acupressure, people find relief of symptoms with the pressure points that are strategically placed on one or several acupressure points.  

Hormone production is stimulated within the body through the use of magnets.  When placed around the head, the magnetic pulses will increase activity in the brain.  The areas of the brain that are responsible for hormone production of serotonin and melatonin are stimulated.  These hormones are responsible for improved mood and better sleep.

In addition to the acupressure and magnetic areas of the pillow, Medi-Max has three different layers to complete the scientific design of Medi-Max.  The first layer, called the Care Zone, and the second layer, called the Balance Zone, are made of memory foam.  The third layer, called the Air Zone, ensures that proper air circulation is maintained in the pillow.
