The Villa La Jolla arm of the company answered a call at a local apartment complex. There was a tenant with wet carpet and moldy smells coming from the bathroom. Pacific Flood Restoration team used their commercial grade equipment to locate the source of the leak.
What they learned was considerably more than the specialists had seen before in their regular services.
“The tenant had more than one affected area in the apartment. The ultimate source of the water damage was from a unit on the top floor of the apartment complex. Each of the three units had four separate areas that needed water remediation services. Damico realized then this was no ordinary job for his company.
“We got started. There were two tenants in two apartments, a property management company we contract with for services and two different owners. The source was a leak in the toilet lines from the top apartment,” said Damico.
The service provider had to separate the job into two different phases because of the size and complexity. Each phase included one bathroom and one other room.
The project seemed complete. But it wasn’t.
“It turned out that top unit’s kitchen was not completed by the plumber. This reflooded the middle unit. No other unit was damaged,” said Damico.
Michael Damico had one more thing to add about this particular job.
“It took us a total of two months from start to finish. It is not common to see this much water damage in San Diego, even for a water damage service provider”, he added.
