San Diego – June 23, 2018 – Kobey’s Swap Meet at the Valley View Casino Center has made waves as one of the top groups for sales of goods of all kinds around the San Diego area. Today the Local Business is working to promote its 1st Annual Kobey’s Non-Profit Day on Saturday, August 18.

Word is getting out quickly as more than 250 organizations are participating in the event. Kobey’s is donating one free space for each organization that signs up to participate. Each Local Business can sell its wares with a garage sale event to raise funds or to promote their causes and to solicit funds from people who are interested in supporting a good charitable cause.

Kobey’s is looking to get as many as 500 local and regional non-profits to participate in this event with more possibly being available depending on demand.

The event will occur from 7am to 3pm at the Valley View Casino Center on August 18.

Non-Profit Day is expected to be a huge deal for the organizations that participate. The Kobey’s Swap Meet events that take place every weekend are among the most popular shopping attractions in the San Diego area with about 20,000 shoppers attending the meet every weekend on average.

The diverse array of non-profits that have signed up to participate includes many public service groups like Goodwill Industries of San Diego, San Diego Blood Bank, and Jacobs Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Environmental groups like the San Diego River Park Foundation and I Love a Clean San Diego will also be there.

Health-oriented non-profits such as the American Cancer Society and Alzheimers Association San Diego Chapter have signed up to appear at the event. The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce will be attending as well.

Kobey’s in continuing to promote the event at kobeyswap.com. The site is currently taking in offers from groups who are interested in participating in the event and offering what they have right now. The goal is to make it easier for people to promote their non-profit efforts and to showcase all the points they want to highlight regarding their community efforts.
