Kimberly McLemore Supports Other Women Through The Women’s Small Business Initiative (WSBI), LLC.

Kimberly McLemore is an Author, Motivational Speaker, Podcast Show Host, Military Veteran, and the Founder & CEO of the Women’s Small Business Initiative (WSBI), LLC.

Kimberly holds a BA in Organizational Management with a minor in Public Administration. She has over 10 years’ experience as a small business owner, and in addition she has a combined 25 years’ experience in both the private sector and public sectors in Project Management, as a Senior Consultant and as a Management Analyst where she successfully oversaw multi-million dollar projects.  She is an effective leader and a team player with a strong sense of business acumen and a gift of forging and establishing relationships. 

Her experience and accomplishments have has inspired Kimberly to support other women in achieving their dreams to become small business owners.   In doing so, Kimberly developed a platform for women to learn about small business development and to share in their experiences.   One pillar of the platform is a podcast show “Your Resource for Success”.  The podcast provides women with the opportunity to share their experience, challenges and successes of being in business through informative and thought provoking one-on-one interviews.  The show is aired weekly on iHeart Radio, an online nationwide radio network. The second pillar is a free online membership-based mentorship program for women, through the WSBI. The WSBI online is designed to be a “one-stop” shop providing resources and tools to enhance and  showcase small businesses, provide consultation, mentorship, and networking opportunities for members nationwide and internationally. Both of these resources are  free to any women business owners.

Kimberly is also the author of two books:  How to Be a Success by Just Being You and Memoir Deception of the Heart:  A Real Look into Domestic Violence and.

Kimberly has held a number of book reading and signing events over the past year.  She continues to share her  revealing story of domestic violence to private groups and organizations in efforts to teach and empower women to be their own hero, and not just a survivor.  As part of these events, Kimberly donates copies of her book to domestic and women’s shelters.   She is scheduled to give book readings, signings and to participate in networking events in March 2018, and is  preparing for a seven-city book signing tour, “Love Should Not Hurt”,  taking place in the  Fall of 2018.  

Kimberly is a native of Davenport, IA.  As a resident of the Quad Cities, she founded and managed two small businesses: Berka Consulting, for three years, and Kid’s Day Preschool, for ten years.  She also co-founded and performed as the Director of the Hilltop Consulting Group for five years. Kimberly was as a member of several business associations, and was featured in the Quad City Business Journal for Young Professionals Under40 years old, and was awarded numerous recognitions for her outstanding performances from the Davenport, Iowa business community. Kimberly currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
