Indie filmmaker and computer animator Launches Children’s Book

Ron Smorynski, an indie filmmaker and computer animator, has created a fantasy book series for middle-grade kids. “Alfred The Boy King” series is an epic storyline filled with magic, creatures, and great battle scenes. The book takes kids on a fun journey and teaches them Christian values.

Ron has seen the culture wars upfront helping notable Christians such as Alfonzo Rachel, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson at BOND, and Ken Ham’s Creation Museum. His vision was to create an entertaining book series that still held strong moral values and continued the pervasive truths of Good versus Evil. “Alfred The Boy King” focuses on the Father of Light, who has been silent as the World burns, will he ever return to his Creation as Alfred and the fallen Kingdom of men struggle against overpowering and evil odds?

Ron has cleverly intertwined moments of humor and reprieve to provide a sense of realism in contrast to the magical and mythical nature of the series. Due to his keen interest in the medieval times, the medieval scenes are intricately and beautifully described, which shows Ron’s dedication and research put into creating this book.

The book has managed to draw praise and appreciation from early readers and critics:

The story captures the pure adventure and action so longed for in fantasy adventures while also tackling growing up, history, and family struggles. To me, it brings to mind such classics as Narnia and The Castle in the Attic.

Seeing him somehow figure out how to manage everything and rule his kingdom at such a young age. It was so inspiring to witness, as a reader. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves middle-grade fantasy books.
