Blockchain technology has grown in popularity amongst developers, entrepreneurs and large banks. The use of blockchain technology is increasing by the day. In fact, many startups are using blockchain technology to build their business. Some startups focus on gathering data and research on quantitative and qualitative behaviors on blockchains, while others specialize in offering bitcoin-based loans. Startups are not the only ones that are actively investing in blockchain technology. Even banks have found uses for this decentralized system. There are various ways to link real-world assets to the blockchain and trade them digitally.
Blockchain technology has many financial and non-financial applications including app development, ride sharing, digital content, digital security trading, decentralized online and computing resources, company incorporation, digitization of documents or contracts, decentralized storage, home automation and digital identity. It can also be used to improve anti-counterfeit measures, enable decentralized patient records management and provide escrow or custodian service for loan servicing, e-commerce and the gaming industry. Blockchain technology can be beneficial in reputation management as it can help users share reputation, gather feedback and engage their target audience.
