Dr. Furnari attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry and was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1986. Since then, he has completed over 4000 hours of advanced continuing education. Over the years, Dr. Furnari studied at The L.D. Pankey Institute and the United States Navy Naval Air Station Patuxent River (NAS Command) in Patuxent River, Maryland. Prior to dental school, he went to Marquette University where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Furnari remains at the forefront of a challenging industry through his professional society memberships and affiliations with the International Academy of Dental Implantology, the International Academy of Osseointegration, the North Eastern Gnathological Society, the New York Academy of Dentistry, Dental XP International, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State Of New York, the Ninth District Dental Society, the Scarsdale Dental Society, and The L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Furnari was recently invited to China to teach implant surgery; he has received many other awards throughout his career including Top Dentist in Westchester County, NY (2009-2016). He has also been a Speaker at the 85th Annual Greater New York Dental Meeting (2009), Speaker at the 80th Annual Greater New York Dental Meeting (2004), Naval Letter of Commendation (1989), Georgetown University School of Dentistry Senior Excellence in Prosthodontics (1986), and induction into Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society (1982). Dr. Furnari is also an active participant in various philanthropic initiatives, such as scouting and soccer coaching. When he is not practicing, he dedicates to running, playing tennis, skiing, and following world economics and markets.
