The Magic pre-New Year’s Networking & Toy Drive event held on December 27, 2017 has successfully concluded. Hosted by eminent personality and honorary mayor of Beverly Hills, David Harrison Levi, the event raised awareness about cancer and donated the received toys and funds to support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Magic pre-New Year’s Networking & Toy Drive was held at Heritage Fine Wines in Beverly Hills, hosted by Goodwill Ambassador Emeritus for Breast Cancer Awareness Worldwide, David Harrison Levi. The event saw around 160 professionals from the arts and entertainment industry attend and perform, in the presence of dignitaries such as California Congresswoman Diane Watson; Founder of E! Channel Entertainment Television, Larry Namer; Disney’s voiceover (Mickey Mouse, Tweety, etc), Jimmy Rooney; and the Queens of the Miss Asia USA 2018 beauty pageant.

As the first and largest pediatric hospital in Southern California, CHLA relies on the generosity of philanthropists in the community to support compassionate patient care, leading-edge education of the caregivers of tomorrow and innovative research efforts that impact children at our hospital and around the world. The pre-New Year’s event received generous donations of toys and funds, which were delivered to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on January 11th, 2018.
“It was a fantastic opportunity to meet people in the industry while supporting children with cancer. I had a nice time ending the year in this way. It couldn’t have been better!” said a writer after attending the event.
David Harrison Levi has been an active advocate for the fight against cancer for nearly 20 years after losing his sister Rosalind in April 2010, who fought bravely and triumphantly for 17 years. For his advocacy and support, Levi has been honored with numerous awards, achievements and titles, including being recognized as the Honorary Mayor of the City of Beverly Hills by Jimmy Delshad, the two-time mayor of the city of Beverly Hills. Levi is well known as the Goodwill Ambassador Emeritus for Breast Cancer Awareness Worldwide, and for raising awareness through events.
