Salt Lake City, Utah – Shielia Erickson, owner of Broadway Talent Agency, gave a free training session to actors of all ages who donated a toy for Toys For Tots as her way to give back to the acting community and to help the Marines give toys to needy children for Christmas. She also issued a challenge to other talent agencies and businesses of all kinds to do something similar to help needy children.
“Our agency has been very blessed this year with a high number of our talent getting great bookings in major feature films and commercials, and next year promises to be even better. I wanted to give back to the acting community, and also use this event as a way to help a worthy cause for needy children,” explained Erickson. The many film projects she has booked for her talent can be seen on the Broadway Talent Agency website.
A total of 17 actors, including children, showed up for the special workshop and spent their Saturday afternoon receiving training to help them obtain more bookings in 2018. Erickson opened the training to any and all actors, even if they are not represented by her. Many in the group were not represented by anyone and said they are just getting started, and appreciated Erickson’s help to do that.
“It was great to see so many new faces,” said Erickson. “There will be so many wonderful opportunities for them to progress in their career with many, many more top film productions coming to Utah in the months ahead,” she added.
Broadway Talent Agency is accepting new and experienced actors of all ages, and Erickson invites prospective talent to contact her through her website to be considered.
