The song &#8220;Trouble is&#8221; will be one of many original songs featured in the film, which offers a healthy dose of Spaghetti Western themes and film noir elements, clashing in a uniquely stylized indie film.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The logline for Pickings reads: &#8220;When a short-tempered mobster and his gang of thugs try to shake down a neighborhood bar, they&#8217;re soon confronted with the wrath of its owner &#8211; a mysterious Southern mother with a dangerous past.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pickings was written, produced and directed by Usher Morgan, who self-funded the film after its Indiegogo campaign failed to reach its desired goal. Morgan, the filmmaker behind the award-winning comedy short Prego, entered production in March of 2016 a $350,000 budget. Principle photography was wrapped in October of 2016 and the film is currently being packaged and sent to film festivals nationwide. Pickings is Usher Morgan&#8217;s directorial debut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aside from Katie Vincent, the film also stars Elyse Price, Joel Bernard, Joe Trombino, Emil Ferzola and Yaron Urbas, among others.
