Sydney, Australia – September 18, 2026 –<\/strong> Tability, the OKR and strategy execution platform, today said it ranked best OKR software overall in a new 2026 benchmark built on a different premise than most software rankings: someone actually testing the products, rather than compiling vendor claims or accepting paid placements.<\/p>\n

Most “best OKR software” lists are self-validating. Vendors submit their own descriptions, listicles rank by affiliate commission, and platforms are rarely run side by side under the same conditions. Tability set out to fix that by putting all 22 tracked OKR platforms (20 currently active) through the same 30-minute hands-on scenario, covering setup, check-ins, reporting, alignment, integrations, and AI features, then scoring each one against a published, weighted rubric across 15 categories.<\/p>\n

“Most ‘best OKR software’ rankings are either paid placements or a listicle based on zero evidence or data,” said Sten Pittet, CEO of Tability. “We know, because we’ve done it too. We kept seeing claims about our own product, and about competitors, that just weren’t true, so we decided someone needed to actually do the work and see where everyone really stands.”<\/p>\n

The category exists because OKR software is unusually hard to shop for the normal way. Buyers typically commit after a sales cycle or a short trial, long before they can tell whether a tool actually changes how their team runs a quarter. “With most software you know within a week if it fits. With OKRs you might not know for a quarter, or a year, whether the tool actually changed how your team executes,” Pittet said. “Most buyers are asked to sign before they have any way to evaluate that, or even know what to look for.”<\/p>\n

Tability topped the overall ranking along with the startup, mid-market, and AI features categories. The same evaluation scores it lower than some competitors on individual criteria, including enterprise features and integrations within the enterprise category, where it posts 4.0 out of 5 against rivals’ higher marks on those specific measures even while leading the category overall. “Some tools are genuinely better at some things than others. We just wanted an honest look at where everyone stands,” Pittet said. Third-party ratings from G2 and Gartner are listed separately from the benchmark’s own scores rather than blended together, so readers can compare both without either being folded into one number.<\/p>\n
