The WebSocket client in every SDK ships with automatic reconnection using exponential backoff, a 30-second heartbeat, and automatic re-subscription after a dropped connection. These are the three failure points that most commonly surface in production streaming integrations and that developers previously had to implement themselves.<\/p>\n
The Python SDK supports Python 3.9 and later and is published on PyPI as infoway-sdk. The Node.js SDK ships with full TypeScript type definitions and targets Node.js 18 and later. The Java SDK uses a builder-pattern client and targets Java 17 and later, with artifacts available through Maven and Gradle. All three are released under the MIT license with source code on GitHub.<\/p>\n
Infoway MCP Server: Financial Data for AI Assistants<\/p>\n
The Infoway MCP Server implements the open Model Context Protocol, the standard used by Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code and a growing number of AI clients to connect language models to external tools. Once configured with an Infoway API key, an assistant can answer questions such as “What are Apple and Tesla trading at right now?”, “Show me Bitcoin’s daily candles for the past 30 days” or “Compare Nvidia’s valuation against AMD” by calling live Infoway endpoints rather than relying on training data.<\/p>\n
The server exposes 17 tools grouped into five categories: real-time quotes and candlesticks, market overview, sector analysis, single-stock fundamentals and symbol search. It supports US, Hong Kong, China A-share, Japanese and Indian equities, cryptocurrencies and foreign exchange. Installation requires a single command through uvx or pip, and the server is also listed on ClawHub as infoway-financial-data.<\/p>\n
